Mother Nature's frosty side

Mother Winter

by Thal1959

The ways of winter has a personality,
a sort of seasonal originality,
It's when wintry weather covers half the globe,
that Mother Nature has donned her frosty robe.

The snowy trimmings on every tree so mild,
is her way of dressing each and every child,
for that's the way she sees the sleeping trees,
as children to be adorned before a freeze.

Each house bedecked with Christmas lights aglow,
are treated like her one and only handsome beau,
There is a reason fascia icicles do linger,
They're the embracing of her loving lady fingers.

It's when wintry weather covers half the globe,
that Mother Nature has donned her frosty robe.
