A chapter in the book Love Parts 2

Valentine Wedding Vows

by Barb Hensongispsaca

Until the sun no longer shines
'neath everlasting skies of blue,
forever will I pledge my oath
o'er tears that I have shed for you.

Remember our first valentine?
Gay times we had exchanging clues,
each giving cards we left unsigned,
to laughing when we found out who.

Tomorrow we will start our lives,
as on this day, one comes from two;
but, all rejoice in love for now
let's bring to Him our love that's new...

eternally we say 'I do".

Write a love poem. But there is a twist. Write a poem where the first letter of each line spells out a word (see an example below). Your love poem can be fictional or non-fictional. It can be humorous or serious. The choice is yours. But it must clearly be a love poem.

Here is an example of an Edgar Allan Poe acrostic love poem titled simply "An Acrostic":

Elizabeth it is in vain you say
"Love not" - thou sayest it in so sweet a way:
In vain those words from thee or L.E.L.
Zantippe's talents had enforced so well:
Ah! if that language from thy heart arise,
Breath it less gently forth - and veil thine eyes.
Endymion, recollect, when Luna tried
To cure his love - was cured of all beside -
His follie - pride - and passion - for he died.
