A dog to love

His floppy ears and big wide eyes make me smile,
Even when he growls in play,
Or leaves me a 'present' on the living room rug,
He makes me smile.

He isn't the smartest,
Or even a great watchdog,
But, he makes me smile

When I first started writing on this site back in 2010, I started writing about Harley, my Jack Russell Terrier, in poems and stories. I lost him in 2012, and Howie and his half-brother, Bernie have been my companions over the past few years.

As I rejoin the site, I will share more stories and poems about these little guys. I hope they are as well received as Harley was.
