This work has reached the exceptional level
A Rondeau

Lord, I See

Lord, I see the sky bright and blue
it gives me comfort through and through
surrounding me is joy and peace
while all my problems seem to cease
God has given me strength anew

thankful for this heavenly view
knowing God's word is always true
food for the soul - finding release
Lord, I see

I surrender all to pursue
what God instructed me to do
While the joy of His strength increase
it gives me glee and sweet relief
I'm never alone, this is true
Lord, I see

Writing Prompt
A rondeau poem is required for this contest. It is a fixed form of poetry. It is often used in light or witty poems. It often has fifteen octo - or decasyllabic lines with three stanzas. It usually only has two rhymes used in the poem. A word or words from the first part of the first line are used as a refrain ending the second and third stanzas. The rhyme scheme is aabba aabR aabbaR. See an example and instructions here.
