Gone but not forgotten.

Gone

by aryr

I be dead.
Deader than a doornail!
Took a bullet to my head,
And death made me pale.

Now the goons
Have swarmed my service.
Looking like baboons,
Making my poor wife nervous.

I gambled a little too much,
The cards didn't fall my way.
I didn't have a magic touch-
They took my life for pay.

They followed to the cemetery
And watched them put me under.
By then I had my wings like a fairy
And watched in wonder.

They then invaded my wake.
Invaded the peace of my house.
Partied up to my former mate,
Especially the leader louse.

Little do they know,
That I will haunt and hunt
Wherever they choose to go.
So I died but I am not gone.
