Rainfall Will Come

by pharp

Days become blistering hot
yet the weeds still grow
Seeds seeking much rain
In the ground below
tiny little buds
sown to be nourished
Rainfall will come in the nick of time
then they will flourish

Still the sun gives radiance
..sweltering parched land
...day in and day out
looking at dry sand
Still there is much hope
Yes... we wait and pray
Rainfall will come in the nick of time
Fast.. without delay

When the rain finally comes
it can't be too soon
Clouds will hide the sun
rainy afternoon
While lightning bright'ning
a smoldering sky
Rainfall will come in the nick of time
for seeds, you and I.
