She wears a semicolon tattoo to raise positivity about the mental health plight,
She says no, to the dark thoughts ,preferring to practice dedication to the light.

Trying desperately to avoid the sadness that obliterates her commitment to wellness,
A battle, society hasn't made easy, by misunderstanding, the importance of awareness.

Her days are long and nights are even longer but do they know,
Depression hurts it can feel like the darkest abyss, yes even that low.

But hope comes when you find the ones who will try to understand,
And give reassurance and a support system so life can be forward planned.

After sadly losing her father to suicide, Amy Bluel wanted to do something to honor him and to help raise awareness for mental health issues. In founding Project Semicolon she has done both. The organization and movement are Ã¢??dedicated to presenting hope and love for those who are struggling with depression, suicide, addiction and self-injury.Ã¢?? They encourage people to draw or tattoo a semicolon onto their bodies as a reminder of the power of yourself.
