Pondering upon the meaning of life and death

Soul Eternal?

by HarryT

Soul is the life principle that animates our being
Death is the departure of the soul from the body
Soul is not who we are. People who say one
Must have soul are mistaken soul for personality
Which is made up of our traits, in other words, the
Way others perceive our reactions and behavior
We are not just souls as airlines call us
We are composites of both the soul and our
Material bodies. Soul is special, not because it
Is immortal because it is not. Soul, however, is special
Because it is the life principle that animates our body.
If soul were immortal when it leaves the body
Causing death, would it not be able to animate
Another inanimate object?
