A beautiful garden party
with daffodils in bloom,
lady slippers, crocuses,
polka dot mushrooms.

I chat with camassia,
allium tells a joke.
Lily of the valley lies
in the shadow of the oak.

Spring arrives on a cool breeze
and mingles with her guests,
Winter sits alone and groans,
Fall wears a bright red dress.

They look around for Summer
and mingle by the gate,
She loves a garden party,
but often will come late.
