A Voice

by TAB_that's me

There was a time
(but no more),
I left my
voice
rotting at the door,
my opinion
ground to dust.

A voice
I have today
and a choice.
I won’t be
silenced
by a waving hand
wielding a gun.
I’ll stand tall and strong
in support
of equality
of every face,
the human race.

Thank you MKFlood for the lovely artwork.

I'm behind on posting poems. I wrote this after the shooting at the gay club in Orlando.
