A person surrendering to alcohol abuse

Falling Star

Falling Star tumbles down the sky.
Assistance to move, compelled by others;
Lessens ones own brilliance within.
Light dims as the inner soul is lost
Inside continues cries for help, with
Nuisance caused by pain and discomfort.
Gone are days once filled through joy .
 
Strength must be found to stop further decline        
Throbbing truth revealed; try harder, take
Advantage to become a new bright light.
Reject egotism, refuse loss or be defeated.
