God's Alarm Rings

     As I was slumbering in deep sin
     doing things that could cause harm
     God whispered to me to no avail
     so He used a great trial as an alarm.

          Would I wake up at His beckoning call
          or would I keep doing things to harm
          my body and face a sorely broken life?
          I then chose to listen to God's alarm.

               He carefully picked me up in His arms
               keeping me from all the terrible harms
               that could be destroying my life
               now I hear when He whispers, no alarms.
