Remembering Joy's participation.

Joy

by DALLAS01

Joy

tasted snowflakes

tap-dancing

on

the tip of a child's tongue;

Joy

listened for the echo

of

sleigh bells gaining ground

in

imagination's anticipation;

Joy

inhaled

the scent of love

wafting from a warm tray

of

Christmas cookies

baked in busy ovens.

Joy

rode radio flyers

down snow-packed slopes;

lit the candles,

infused the glow,

whispered prayers

that

engraved hope's signature

on

yesteryear's Christmas card.
