A Question
by Rikki66
The High Councilor ascended the rostra, gripped the dais and looked out upon the silent audience. "Today is a solemn occasion, we gather yet again to dedicate another monument to our gallant dead. Men, women and children sacrificed that our society might continue. This edifice is larger and grander than any the world has ever known. As we examine this monument, those that came before and those that shall follow, only one question begs answer."
"WHY!"
