Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
Silly non-traditional multiple Haiku

A chapter in the book The Heart of Poetry

Do magpies make pies

by Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens

Do magpies make pies
Doe's butterfly onto bread
While catnips nude toes

Do weeping willows
green flowing branches cascade
water falls of tears

Do poets who have
No subject of great concern
Write bits of nonsense

Wake dimwitted muse
Prolonged snoring not allowed
Pen and ink await

When you reach bottom
Of this silly poem no doubt
You will pitch it out

So then do it now
Do you think I really care
Confess you've been there

A dear friend once wrote
Sometimes life is not poetic
How true those words are

No need to review, just have fun reading it and relate........................ How strange it is to have no particular inspiration, then find that a silly piece pops into your head and you can't get it out. So guess we just have to write it down. And again 'sometimes life is not that poetic.'
