Mother's Touch Lost

by sweetwoodjax

A mother's touch was lost today
as Jesus came to take her Home.
Her mind will be troubled no more
as she walks in Heaven with Christ by her side.

No pain will follow her to that place
that can't be seen by human eyes.
She can sing Hallelujah to her heart's content
and others will join with her.

Her weathered Bible will be left behind
as the Word of God is in Heaven.
Her heart held many scriptures
and she quoted them often.

A mother's touch is missing
from this world today,
but memories of her have been
left behind, imprinted on the hearts
of those who loved her.

Rest in peace Iris Luella McClure. Died May 20, 2015
Thank you to Pattigirl for the picture.
Miss Iris loved reading her bible and when she had a stroke, that afternoon
she asked her daughter to read scripture to her.
