You Had Me

by boxergirl

Sittin' side by side in your car,
Rag top rolled down, gazing at stars,
Chesney crooned on the radio
"Baby, you had me from hello."

Lost in your sea of baby blues,
You did what I was wantin' you to,
You leaned in, your kiss was tender,
White flag flying, I surrendered.

I melted into your open arms,
Ignited the fire, a four-alarm,
Too much of you was never enough,
My hungry heart entirely engulfed.

We cuddled close in that front seat,
I smiled at you, you smiled at me,
Together we sang soft and low,
"Baby--you had me from hello."
