Like Rain

~
These tears, like rain, so soothe a fragile mind They cleanse me of the woes of life's embrace Thus wash away the sins of all mankind that even precious sunlight can't erase Beneath a broken angel's flightless wings each raindrop offers solace as it falls It comforts, in my mind, the harshest things that every harmful memory recalls But though the thunder roars amid the rain a silence hides the words I leave unsaid I'll let the falling raindrops ease the pain while never losing sight of what's ahead For surely brighter days will calm my soul But as for now, let rain consume me whole ~ |
