Love's first kiss.

Remembered well.

by royowen

Remembered well, love's early kiss,
this page was blank, my lack, my bliss,
the bottle spin, 'twas Catherine Jane,
my face was flushed, at feeling's strain.

My stomach churned, my mind said run,
emotions mixed, what have I done?
my friends they mocked, much ridicule,
why was I here? I'm such a fool.

Could I escape and no one trace
but no, I thought, these fears must face,
so to that room we slowly walked,
my fate was sealed, my legs they baulked.

With puckered mouth we joined as one.
our lips they met, till deed was done,
but something stirred, said "what is this"
it was sheer bliss, this love's first kiss.

Now ever since, this love's well met,
my wife I love, we kiss, and yet.
I will remember, love first bought,
at love's first kiss, that bug I caught.
