The challenge of love
The Web of Love

I have been lied to and lied about. I have suffered consequences of deception. I have protected those who depend on faith in love and honor by not revealing all I know to those most in need of trust. I depended on time to overcome all doubt and keep truth above the fray. Honesty has not always served me, nor protected me from the wrath of those who believed the lies. Death will free us all from life's entangling webs of deception. If God is not Truth, it's all a lie.
INVICTUS
By William Ernest Henley
"Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeoning of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul."
