Believe

From that little girl in the window,
To the woman who left her in her past.
It's a little hard to believe sometimes,
How so much time has passed.

Much harder though for me to believe,
That I am standing where I do today.
From a broken girl to an angry woman,
And then to the woman that I became.

From one that never stopped dreaming,
To the woman who no longer knew how.
It's crazy for me to look back at my past,
And then see the woman that I am now.

If I had the chance to change it though,
I would probably choose to leave it be.
Without every last bit that I lived of it,
I would have ended up anyone but me.

But choosing to be someone else,
That is one thing that comes at a cost.
So I'd rather be one who believes again,
Than to chance being anyone still lost.
