losing a loved one when your in the winter of life
Lost in Winter's Grey
by A TARNISHED KNIGHT
Autumn lines cross my face
Spring has left me now Summers of many memories Now taken their final bow Winter is closing in I shiver at the thought Spending it here all alone It's a fear that can't be fought Two rocking chairs on the porch Covered by a chilling frost They sit in silent empathy As they know what I have lost Say you're in a better place Can't say if that is true What I really know for sure My heart truly misses you So I will look at tomorrow With visions of yesterday Of blossoming love in springtime Now lost in the winter's grey |
