I see it beginning to surface.
I've waited to watch and have hope.
I know that God gives us His promise
to be there and help us to cope.

His promise is rich as His rainbow.
His plan is as wide as the sea.
His crayons of faith and renewal
bring colors that soothe you and me.

Now what could be half as surprising
as how He knew just what to do
when rain comes to threaten your blessings?
He calls on the sun to come through.

By mixing the good and the hard times,
He fashions a promise so true
that the rain and the sun mixed together
make a covenant we can make, too.
