Under the lonely tree of love

The lonely tree

by DR DIP

THE LONELY TREE

It stands so proud upon the hill

Silhouetted, by a full moon

A lonely tree with a night so still

Under which we swoon

My lonely tree shelters broken hearts

It's where I sit and wonder

Why my lover sadly parts

And leaves me alone and under

'Neath this lonely tree of love

Surrounded by lunar light

Mesmerized by this moon above

It's now my only delight

For now you've gone; left me here

Alone and broken hearted

I think you made it, perfectly clear

But I still wonder why we parted?
