Jack and Jill

by amahra

Jack and Jill
Went up the hill
To buy an ounce of weed

Jack fell down
And broke his crown
After guzzling booze and speed

Drove away in their car
But he didn't get far
When he hit a pretty big bump

And Jack got out
Jill too, with a pout
When a man asked them for a jump

Jack did what he could
Working under the hood
As the man broke out with a whistle

And when he was through
Thought a thank you was due
But instead the guy pulled out a pistol

Well, Jill threw a fit
And Jack, he got hit
When he wrestled the man for the gun

The guy threw up his hand
And said "chill out my man
I have a wife and a new baby son

I'm an addict, you see
So please don't shoot me
Oh, Man, I just gotta' get high"

Jack pulled out the bag
Gave the man all he had
Jill frowned and gave him the eye

The guy fled in the dark
Heard a bunch of dogs bark
Perhaps he didn't mean them no harm

Stuck the gun in his belt
Saw the pain that he felt
Was from a bullet that had grazed his arm

They embraced the moonlight
Having had a bad fright
Life sucks and just what is the point

They leaned back on the car
Fixed their eyes on a star
And took turns on their very last joint

Some of the lines are longer, but the rhythm is there when I read it out loud. I wanted to show how a nice Jack and Jill would be in today's screwed up world. But I also wanted to make it a fun read.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
