Seeds of Life

by TAB_that's me

In soil of Earth, the seed of life ascends
with help of sun above that aids its growth
and rain from clouds to cleanse and quench its thirst,
for God will give it ev'rything it needs.

I am that seed, and God has planted me,
so I can reach for Heaven up above
and firmly root my feet into the ground
to spread the word of God and praise His name.

On ocean's waves I scatter words of God
and send them all across the lands to those
whose pain ferments in troubled thoughts galore
and let them know that God is ev'rywhere.

A blank verse poem is written without rhymes. It does have a set metrical pattern, usually iambic pentameter. But it is a flexible form that is often used in narrative and dramatic poetry. It was popularized by William Shakespeare.
