as deep as darkest
well can be

They say sorrow
can bring a stillness
and let you see

But I say sorrow,
Baby...
jus' a disease
'tween you an' me

They say,
they say sorrow...
as deep as darkest
well can be

twisted
some dialed number
cling-a-linged
right after me

But I runned
Oh yes, I runned

A well...
well, jus' for me
