I got into 'it' with a person at work.
Oh yes, she deserved it, she was a jerk,

But I'm the one in trouble, well it's not really bad,
But I got sent to HR, nothings more sad.

You're made to feel like you're five years old,
You have to sit there while they scold.

Then I got sent home, to think about what I had done,
But instead I decided to do something fun.

After 37 years in the same place,
I didn't worry too much that they had a good case.

This had never happened before,
I wasn't worried they'd show me the door.

Besides if that 'girl' hadn't been fired,
(And she should have been long ago)
I should be there until I'm retired.

You see this girl and a friend had been waging a war,
Against my nice boss to settle a score.

For 4 long years they had been doing her wrong,
And it was always the same old song.

"I work my butt off and get nowhere here!"
And I wanted to say, "Well, frankly my dear,

If you've not figured out after 8 years of no butt,
That in this department all the doors are shut,

(They are locked too, for security reasons)
And no matter what the time or season,

There is just no ladder for you to climb,
Then you aren't as bright as you say ALL THE TIME!!"

Year after year they cried to HR,
Reporting my boss for things most bizarre.

No truth to any of it, my boss always exonerated,
But that didn't keep her from feeling humiliated.

Thinking they were due every consideration,
This girl and her minion wrought devastation.
