Danced on Air

Danced on Air
(Couplets) They danced on air, this mated pair. From earth they'd fling in a graceful swing. With feathered flair they rose to midair. Two geese on the wing, an ordinary thing. I became aware of their presence there. They owned the sky as they flew on by. It was such a sight of two birds in flight, As they hung overall, I was in their thrall, compelling the height of my delight. Their responses flow when cold winds blow. When I heard their call, it was late late fall. Their instincts know when it's time to go. So I waved goodbye with a heavy sigh. |

Two Geese on the wing in the fall. I captured these two in flight. They had just taken off from a pond. You can see the one behind is honking away. Actually, I'm not that sad to see them go. They are noisy and messy birds.
