My Reflection in the Mirror

by fayesh

Looking at the reflection in the morning mirror

The nose seems a bit long, yet somehow fits well

the lips, full, seductive, yet intelligently articulate

the eyes, velvet, intense hold supernatural secrets

the hair has a mind of its own waiting to be tamed

Then there is that birthmark causing onlookers

to wonder if witchery exists in this face

Sorry to disappoint,

that mark is wired to receive

alien messages from the universe

Those lucky enough to be favorites of the lady in the mirror

know the truth of this face,

fabulous to some, fierce to others

This face is no ordinary one

There is an inexplicable magic in its visage
