I'm Just Sick About It

by LoannaLois

It's snowing outside and it's cold as can be.
My Mom's makin' chicken for dinner.
I've asked her four times if I can go out;
And, in askin', I ain't no beginner.
She ignores me at first; I prepare for the worst...
And she shoots me her bad eye once more.

So I bring down my snowsuit, my mittens, and boots;
Prepared to sneak right out the door.
Now Mom, She's not playin'
And me, I'm just sayin'
She's about to throw down a big roar!

And I rethink my plan, the great kid that I am,
After all,there is always tomorrow.
I'll go help with the dishes
And sigh with my wishes;
Leaving' her a sad look of my sorrow.

A guy's gotta learn not to lose in a twit;
He just has to take it sometimes.
But the snow...it's all melted...
Yep, the rain; it just pelted!
And me...I'm just sick about it.
