Hominidae

by almaconsecbride

Hominidae

Enchanted by the unknown,
Twisted with fellowship of lies,
Burnt by skilled acts of time,
By man's madness,
By man's egocentricity,
Into the realm of obscure reality;
Into the path of repugnance;
Man is swallowed
By his own incredulity.

Skies of awakefulness spread,
Like showers of delighted conscience,
Shared from baths of blood
Through ravening mouths;
Tears of pain,
Sweat of joy,
Man is mellowed
By his own boundaries.

The shadow of a silent gracious morning,
Gushes forth with a reproof of life,
To the world about to listen,
A world closer to true humanity.
