Great Grandma Goes Viral

by Deniz22

Someone found and published Great Grandma’s diary,
now it seems family history was a bit more than miry.
An Uncle once thought of as the sterling type,
Apparently benefited from unwarranted hype.

Also a number of other limbs on the old family tree,
Might have been grafted in too; and that illegally.
Things were “hush-hush”, decorum was maintained,
This though the main participants oft felt strained.

A cousin or two, when embarrassed to be in a family way,
Would “vacation” for 6 months and then have a give-away.
Suddenly, an Aunt, quite unexpectedly, would have a new face,
At the breakfast table, partaking fully, in the morning grace.

Each family member got a copy of these facts long hidden,
And each and every member to a family reunion is bidden.
It may not be the same as last year’s rather dull affair,
But you can bet your bottom dollar, everyone will be there.
