The Carpenter

by sweetwoodjax

The carpenter walked down the dusty road and stopped as he came upon a ramshackle shack in the clearing. Tears filled his eyes at the disarray that had taken place.

His hands ached to rebuild this house that had fallen into disrepair. He trimmed back the thorns that had grown around the house from lack of care. He sanded away the rough edges and made it shine with polish. He cleared the rooms
of debris that had built up over the years and pronounced that the house was clean once again and worthy to be lived in.

a broken down heart
was repaired with loving hands
Christ now lives within

When Jesus told the fishermen to cast their nets into the water again, they didn't tell Him that He was just a carpenter and didn't know what He was doing. They followed His dictates and the boats were overflowing from their bounty. The Carpenter made them fishers of men. Thank you to bing images for the picture of the shack.
