Nonet contest entry - how gray my memories become

Steadfast Shadow

by Warren Rodgers

where blades are glazed by winter's freeze,
since sorrow's steadfast shadow
has grayed my memories.
Yet still I hear your
whispers echo
on Heaven's
warming
breeze.
