This girl has no fear
A chapter in the book Dear Lexi
Lexi's Playground Experience
by Rdfrdmom2
There’re slides and swings
out on the field that, for most kids, great fun would yield And so it was for just a while but then a site brought her a smile Steel bars, she thought, were made for her the hemisphere did not deter until she found herself on top and was unsure just where to stop – She glanced at me as if to say I wonder how I got this way? I must admit I had to grin for I had said do not begin unless you know how it will end for on my help you can’t depend – But she knows not what things to fear yes, she believes and makes it clear because she’s four she surely can make hurdles move for she will ban all failure from that mind of hers consequences shall not occur for she proclaims I will not fail I shall move on so do not yell because you think that I might break let me grow up for goodness sake jbh 8-20-2013 |

Lexi prefers playground equipment that poses a challenge, but sometimes she gets in over her head. The reason she could not depend on my help was that I was in an air cast after having extensive foot surgery. I took this picture of her during one of her rare still moments. Thanks for reading.
