I'd read your poetic thoughts
A chapter in the book Scribed Relief
If I Could Look Into Your Soul

Reveal the treasured secrets
That lie far behind your eyes What causes you to ponder Or fake a smile to disguise Guide me to your special wishes beneath shelters of your dreams Where mysteries are gathered In gentle trickling streams Take me to the quiet places The still caverns of your mind What makes your heart grow weary What can loosen ties that bind Escort me through the chambers Of your hidden heart's desire What would bring you to elation Or could set your soul afire Is there one thing which lies waiting Way beneath your strong facade Perhaps your deepest longing That which takes you straight to God? Be my intimate companion Awaken that which sleeps Unlock the door of yearning All your secrets I will keep |

Sometimes I stroll through page after page of poetry here and I long to see something more heart felt.
Not just good writing but good emotion evoked
on the pages as if I am reading your journal
meant only for your eyes.
Sometimes I just get so bored with well written 'facts'
and perfectly, "in the box" poetry as if you're writing for your english teacher in high school.
C'mon. Tell me your secrets. Tell me your dreams
take me beyond my own wild imagination...
will ya? huh?
