Freedom of the Trees

by llama7

Gently through the breeze
Lazily they are swaying
So tall and so free

5-7-5 Poetry Contest contest entry

The trees are majestic things. They are respected by any normal human, yet we could never be like them: so free and careless. How blissful it would be to everyday do nothing but sway back and forth and watch the world go by, hardly realising the stupidity of us humans as we slowly destroy the world with our pollution. In a way, the trees are our heroes, because without them, we could not breathe, and our planet would long gone be destroyed from all the polluting fumes we put into the air.
