Lonely Prayer

A simple touch of the suns ray,
Behold I am alive, yet another day.

Alone again here today,
Bring me home to your kingdom far away.

Calmly I lift my hands to the sky,
don't let me suffer O' Lord on high.

Come down to earth and hold my hand,
Don't you know I feel like I'm sinking in sand.

Every day my heart yearns for your love,
For you're the only one.

Eternity is such a long time,
Forever is how long I want to sit at your side.

Goodness will surely not get me there,
God will you answer this lonely prayer.
