Lord, the times seem so dark,
I feel like I’ve missed the mark
I don’t know where to turn,
My straining eyes feel the burn
Of staring so hard to see the light
Please help me through the night.

I seem to have lost my way
And the only thing to do is pray.
Gently take me by the hand
Lift me out of the sinking sand.
Put my feet on solid ground
Let me know I've been found.

Things seem to be falling apart,
But I still trust you with all of my heart.
For you are my help and my salvation
And will help me overcome all tribulation.
Thank you Lord for hearing my cries, 
And bringing light to my blind eyes.
