Dear friend,
 
I received your letter last night, so this morning, as soon as I woke up, I headed out to the Village Hall with the letter and the good news.
By a wonderful coincidence, the mayor had his staff meeting scheduled that morning so every member of the town council was present.
You can imagine the happiness and utter bewilderment on their faces when I showed them the letter! Breathless with joy some even turned white and needed to be resuscitated because of the lack of air. When they recovered they started talking amongst themselves and unfortunately, after several hours of good discussions and debate, concluded that the town cannot assume the risk of receiving such a valuable specimen!
But, to help out with the project and despite these bleak financial times, they have gathered $20000 to send out to you...
