Wrinkles In Time

by sweetwoodjax

wrinkles in his mind
played havoc with
his memories and
left him lost in time

wrinkles on her face
were wet with tears
as she prayed for him
to remember her name

wrinkled hands reached out
to clasp hers and
they cried together
as he remembered her once more.

Connie C wrote a poem today about her father losing his memories and I was drawn to write this one. I'm not saying that connie has a wrinkled face but wrinkles was the word that played around in my mind. Thank you to Loyd Taylor for the great picture. this is a series of naanis (4 lines with 20 to 25 syllables.
