Hacked
by BethShelby
The bloody ax lay at his side.
The dreadful deed was done. His troubled mind sought answers now, but he was finding none. He looked in horror on the scene, his mixed emotions blurred with headaches he had felt of late and voices he had heard. His sister had expressed her fear the madness had returned, but she was loath to let him go, although she'd been concerned. Dementia was inherited. The trait had been passed on. His sister lay in gory shreds, his loved ones now all gone. |

This was inspired by something that happened when I was a child to a family my parents knew. The brother and sister lived together but insanity ran in the family and he had shown signs of mental disturbance. His sister didn't want him put in a mental instution but one night, he went berserk and chopped her to pieces. This was before there were drugs available to control these tendancies.
