I Kissed Many Frogs

by sweetwoodjax

I kissed many frogs in my day
and none turned into a prince.
Many frogs I had to leave
just hanging on a fence.

Then one day, unknown to me
my prince finally came.
I didn't bother to kiss him.
I thought he was just the same.

But logic he presented to me
and asked me to be his wife.
I told him he was crazy.
He didn't know what I was like.

My friend became my husband.
My husband became my friend.
Now we're tied together
until the very end.

I find his inner frog sometimes
when he really starts to croak.
But then I kiss him on his cheek
and he turns to a princely bloke.

Inspired by God's Pen poem called No Prince. Thank you to chickadee for great frog picture. I didn't kiss my husband til the day we got my engagement ring.
