Can we ever forget the price
Those who paid for freedom's right
This is possible for us today
As we honor their immortal fame

For from the time of freedom won
Has the desire to sing their song
That rises with the battle cry
From those who fought along our side

These who paid the total price
We honor now with human pride
Still it is best to honor yet
Those who fought with wounds left

So this Memorial Day it is time
To call also into praise
All the soldiers who do live
Wounded now living the price they give
