Do you want to be a tree
A chapter in the book New Poems
A tree
by wierdgrace
The tall pine tree points to the sky
Its branches landing platforms for birds who pass by The towering giants collect a due From our feathered friends as they pass through A droplet here a droplet there That tumbles down through the spike like hair To the soil below, that feeds the roots More trees grow starting as green shoots Sounds real good in a scientific way Trees provide nests for birds that will stay Nests in the hair? Little dogs beneath me? If there's reincarnation, I don't want to be a tree |
