an ottava rima poem
A chapter in the book The Ottava Rima
A White Rose and Her Shadow
by adewpearl
A white rose placed her shadow on the wall and in that act created her best friend, who even when the summer turned to fall stayed steadfast by her side as she would bend. Upon the rose's face he cast no pall, a tried and true companion to the end, till not one petal on her stem was left and shadow passed from sight, a friend bereft. |
