Christmas Eve,
I was in a fright.
There wasn't a date
for me in sight.

I wondered if I was going
to have to dig someone
from the graveyard.
But my beauty stopped
me at the gate, finding
her wasn't that hard.

Agreed, we took off
with a lurch.
For the dinner held
at my church.

Neither of us liked the
noise of the crowd.
We asked if we could dine
in the basement, as for us,
it was too bright and loud.

They seemed to enjoyably
guide us to the sub-basement.
We decided not to untomb
the other guests from
their casements.

One made a fine table,
and two more a nice chair.
Neither Halloween screaming
or Christmas cheer, it
was deadly quiet down there.

We were entertained by a
nice dance with mice.
She's a genius putting
their food on an inclined
block of ice.

Our food was brought down
by method of dumb waiter.
Her driver didn't have a
head, so a taste he
would not be able to savor.

Mold, cob webs, candle
stubs and dusty garlands
were our decor.
She said this is the best
Christmas ever, also being
stormy so she could come
out, she couldn't ask for more.

The midnight toll of the
bell, children all snug
in their bed.
We went for a romp to
that cemetery instead.

Laughing about people
decorating the hall in
their misguided folly.
We got chased through that
cemetery and went though
thickets of live holly!

It was good we didn't
get drunk on too much
egg nog.
We made it back to her
Hearse by wading through
the foggy bog.

Day was about to break,
and to keep her looks,
for home she had to make.

Mistletoe!
As she bent over us,
that mistletoe
ladden aerial!
Kissing them both was,
an experience that is
truly ethereal.

Kym out of her Krypt
was great holiday fun.
If you make one of her
heads angry, you can still
sweet talk the other one!

While her best celebration
is no doubt Halloween.
I hope to see her for
Easter, she'll turn The
Passion into a real
scream.
