For those who suffer abuse

From ashes to light 2

by Shavon Harrington

The pain may haunt you, in the dead of night,

But you find solace in the stars shining bright.

For even when tears stain your pillow deep,

You gather fragments of courage, your secrets to keep.

Love's promises may have faltered and strayed,

Yet in your heart, their echoes never fade.

For love is not measured by what it couldn't do,

But by the strength it gave to pull you through.

So let the flames within you continue to burn,

With every scar, a lesson, a page to learn.

Break free from the chains, let your spirit soar,

For you are stronger than what came before.

Embrace the pain, let it mold you anew,

For it's the catalyst for growth and breakthrough.

In every shattered dream, find a hidden treasure,

And let your resilient heart be your greatest measure.

The poem may end, but your journey's just begun,

With each breath, a chance to rise like the sun.

Embrace your story, embrace the fight,

For within your soul, burns an eternal light.
