We all have a part to play.

The World is a Stage

The world is a stage, we in the play
Our life journey is on full display
Each act unfolds with joy or sorrow
Act our part with hopes for tomorrow

We are actors learning our lines
We dream we do well and do shine
From early time when first we cry
We play our part with joy and sigh

With loving dreams and whispered vow
We play our part with courage now
With youthful dreams that soar so high
When our play ends, we wave good-bye

Each character, a face along the way
A moment owned, when each will have their say
We know that all the world's a fleeting play
Each player on the stage shall have their day

When our stage playing time is at an end
In audiences hearts may we transcend

Similes and metaphors welcome! But make it unique! Stay away from cliched comparisons and think outside the box. (Opps. That was a cliche wasn't it?) Let's hear your most thought provoking observations and parallels. Make our minds work, but make the relationship clear. Refrain from drawing unusual comparisons and leaving them unexplained.
